The killing of a pastor of the Assemblies of God church in Tema Community 4 has sparked an intense online debate over religion and the promises it makes to its followers which never seem to get fulfiled.
The pastor was stabbed to death in church, the house of God, whilst preparing to come out and deliver his usual Sunday sermon to his congregation.
On Sunday, December 30th 2018, it’s fair to say most of Ghana was shocked out of our minds when news emerged that a pastor of the Assemblies of God church in Tema Community 4 had been stabbed to death.
This shocking story gets even more shocking as the murderer was not some stranger looking to rob the church or having some other nefarious purpose, but his own nephew.
Former President John Dramani Mahama has been honoured by the New York Assemblies of God Church, ostensibly for providing ‘Outstanding Christian Leadership’ in Ghana.
Mahama, who presided over arguably the most corrupt administration in the 4th Republic, was honoured by the New York Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God Church.
