“Philomena kpeteng3 …” rapper Kwaku Otchere Duah aka Tic Tic will be jumping like a Kangaroo soon to grab the seat of Musiga’s Presidency. A position currently occupied by Obuor whose pregnant vision for Musicians has been in labour since but not delivering.

Shatta Wale, Kwaw Kesse, A Plus among others have been taunting Obuor for a poor job done as Musiga President and the recent flop of Musiga’s Ghana Music Week festival is beyond any doubt that proves Obuor might truly be incompetent as his critics say.

Lumba, who composed arguably the most famous political song in Ghanaian history for Nana, is working on another one with just days to go till the December 7 polls.

I do not know about other countries but in Ghana, elections give rise to people from all spheres and background recording one cacophony all in the name of campaign songs and we have seen far too many of this distasteful traits by these so called musicians .

The count down to election is ticking and such days are times that we see and hear people take and talk politics. Renowned and celebrated sound engineer Kwame Appietus wants Ghanaians to know he would willingly lay his bed beside the opposition New Patriotic Party if and only if their manifesto favours the creative industry.
According to the beat maker, he was the least impressed with the NDC ‘s manifesto because it only talked about less important things needed in the creative industry.

Bice Osei Kuffuor, popularly known as Obour, has been re-elected as the president of Musician Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) for the second time.

The election which took place at Oyinka Hotel in Koforidua on Saturday, October 31, 2015 saw Obour win with a total of 88 votes. He was been contested by renowned sound engineer, Appietus born (Appiah Dankwah), and ace musician, Gyedu Blay Ambolley.

The just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards has been described by many as okay and not fully ‘Recharged’ as the organisers and sponsors promised Ghanaians after charging a whooping 100GHC.
The event was characterised by both high and low moments. However, few days after the awards, one of the lowest moments where ‘Producer of the Year’ winner, Appietus goofed when invited to present an award for the ‘Highlife Artiste of the Year’ is already been discussed and getting people’s attention.
The celebrated Producer and Sound Engineer was invited to present an award for the ‘Highlife Artiste of the Year’. The nominees were Daddy Lumba, K.K. Fosu, Kwabena Kwabena, Kwasie Pee, George Darko and Lucky Mensah.
Instead he was given a wrong envelope that had the winner of the ‘Hiplife/Hiphop Artiste (s) of the Year’¸ which was eventually won by Kwaw Kese.
After the video of the nominees was played on the large screen on both sides of the stage, Appietus went ahead to mention Kwaw Kese as the winner. Immediately jeers and boos from the crowd accompanied his goof, instead he blamed Charter House, the organisers for the mistake to save his face.
