Our Ghanaain celebrities seem to have a common trick; which is, before they take a photo to post on social media, they place their designer bags behind them but in such a way that the camera will pick definitely up on these bags.

Just to confirm to their fans that, they are balling—and in turn offer free publicity for these designers. However, when Kim K and the other celebrities do it, they get paid high thousands. We are sure if Kim did it for free for her own self worth, the companies wouldn’t have approached her to pay.

Our people have to learn—this is exactly what Becca does in the above photo. Seen the LV bag?

A few weeks ago, I went for my own ‘friend’ actress Juliet Ibrahim’s head for the fact that she was proudly advertising for a bleaching cream-Carotone as their poster girl in Ghana.

In the said article, I mentioned that “You wouldn’t catch anyone selling a cream with the words ‘Skin Bleaching’ anymore and this is because, we’ve aggressively tainted this phrase, killing the business around those two words.

However, the desperate and shrewd manufactures have adopted various industry synonymous and as such, today’s bleaching creams are inconspicuously called ‘Skin Whitening’, ‘Skin Brightening’, ‘Skin Toning’, ‘Skin Lightening’ ‘Skin Polishing’ and sometimes ‘Skin Flourishing.’

It’s a smart disguise but mostly, the ingredients remain the same and commonly found in these creams is; hydroquinone. “In human medicine, hydroquinone is used as a topical application in skin whitening to reduce the color of skin. This use is banned in some countries, including the member states of the European Union under Directive 76/768/EEC:1976.”

Abebrese who also double as a Child Safety Icon for Safe Child Ghana, an NGO which help prevents injury, protects children and promotes child development through empowerment, advocacy and education to achieve behavioral change, have called on parents/guardians, the public and all stakeholders to help improve the safety of Ghanaian children.

Ama K. Abebrese in an interview with Freda Owusuaah-Bioh on J.life FM’s Working Rythms (Mid-Morning Show) last Thursday, said, most children in Ghana are seriously at risk of getting injured or perishing from certain simple safety loopholes that have been left unattended to.

Nadia Buari shared the above photo and said; that is from her morning PJ walk to the grocery shop—which doubles as her morning exercise.

This sounds great but the only problem with this is that, in places like the United Kingdom, Tesco and other big shops have banned morning PJs from their shops…

And the reason is obvious, you don’t want to see several people walking around in these shops wearing their PJs—you never know what they’ve been up to in bed, when they were wearing those PJs.
