S-Concert Venue Moved From The Accra Sports Stadium To Trade Fair Centre

The 2018 S-Concert would take place at the Trade Fair Centre in La, organizers Empire Entertainment have announced.

The concert has for the past few years been held at the Accra Sports Stadium, but this year has been moved to the Trade Fair Centre.

Ghana has been stripped off the right to host the 2018 African Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) after a decision by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
According to CAF, the venues earmarked for the competition are way behind schedule, hence the decision to strip the hosting rights off Ghana with less than 3 months to the start of the competition.

The former High Commissioner of United Kingdom to Ghana-Jon Benjamin is at it again on twitter, this time not on John Dumelo but on ‘Gbe Na Bu’ Shatta Wale for slapping his bodyguard during the S-concert 2017.
Shatta Wale would have been in the grips of the law if it was in any serious country like the United Kingdom, but it is the other way round in Ghana because laws do not work here.

There have been a lot of backlash directed towards gospel musician, Joyce Blessing for performing with secular musicians at the S-concert 2017. There has been another twist to her whole performance at the event and as usual, people have taken to their social media pages to blast the artiste for performing songs of other artistes.
It is reported that Joyce did not perform a single song of her own at the event as if she had no song to her name. Almost all the songs she performed were songs of other artistes.

Corruption scandals seem to be the order of the day in Ghana now as hot on the heels of the EOCO and SSNIT corruption deals, more has been uncovered at the National Sports Authority.
An audit conducted of the body found that a figure of Ghc 1,006,644.73 which cannot be accounted for has been spent by the Authority.

Officials of the National Sports Authority (NSA) have revealed plans to use the Accra Sports Stadium as a venue for premiering movies and other such similar activities in order to generate revenue to run the place.

The national edifice has fallen into a state of disrepair in recent years as funds to manage the place have dried up.

They call it the nation’s Wembley, the national stadium. Yet looking at how it’s run, you wouldn’t know that. You would think it’s some backward stadium in some backward town, and nowhere near the nation’s capital.

Maintenance on the edifice is not run, nothing is done to keep it in shape. And now the latest challenge is in regards to power.
