Most used social media platform, Twitter, has suspended the account of one Shatta Wale fan who threatened to assassinate Stonebwoy and his manager, Blakk Cedi.

This follows the sour moment at 2019 VGMA after Stonebwoy was announced the winner of the ‘ “Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year” artist.

On the back of Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy’s fight during the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards on Saturday, May 18, 2019, female Dancehall musician, Kaakie has blasted Shatta Wale for his barbaric behaviour on the night after he lost for the 5th time, the ‘Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year’ award to Stonebwoy.

Shatta Wale had earlier on bagged 2 awards in the categories, ‘Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year’ with ‘Gringo’ and ‘Highlife song of the Year’ with ‘My Level’.

A very eventful 20th Anniversary VGMA edition came off Saturday night/Sunday dawn at the Accra International Conference Centre.

The event, which was marred by violence from Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, managed to continue following their fracas but ended in a truncated fashion as for the first time in the show’s history, no Artist of the Year was crowned on the night.
