Ghana came up blank on the night of the 2017 Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards held Wednesday night, but Nigeria was on hand to scoop up some awards for Africa.
Wizkid beat Jay-Z, Drake and Kendrick Lamar to pick up the Best International Act Award on the night, whilst Davido won the Best African Act award, pipping Sarkodie to the honour.

The nominees list for the 2017 Music of Black Origin (MOBO) awards have been released and Ghana’s Sarkodie proudly represents us, nominated for the Best African Act Award.
Sarkodie would be up against an immense challenge if he wants to win, with Wizkid, Davido and Mr Eazi leading the charge for the award.
