Mzbel: What I Wear On Stage Is Strictly For Show Business
Krobo and fanti born singer, Belinda Nana Akua Amoah is one of the three special front cover on the first edition of the DUST (the other two are Mensa and Wanlov the Kubolor), an informative and interactive magazine. Dust is a new magazine about Accra, by Accra, for Accra.
Answering questions about her dressing when performing on stage, Mzbel told DUST “What I wear on stage is strictly for show business. You know? When I’m on stage, its like I’m in my office and I have to wear my uniform”.
She plays down the call for her to wear something not revealing especially when she is on stage. “If I come on stage in African fabric and I can’t move, people will say I’m confused. I don’t want to look like the people who came to see me; I want to look different, like an artist. I want to entertain. That’s exactly what I do and people always complain”.
She further said “You don’t expect a doctor or the nurse to be wearing what you want them to. They wear their uniforms when they are in the hospital and remove it when they are not. When you go to the beach you can’t say ‘because I’m an African, I will wear kaba and slit to swim. This is not our culture so I will wear batakari to swim’.

No MC For Ghana Music Awards?
Tick tock, tick tock as the clock moves, the D-day for the Ghana Music Awards draws closer and closer.
With less than ten days for the main event at the over six thousand capacity giant Dome at the Accra International Conference Centre, nobody has been named yet, to MC for the biggest entertainment show on the nation’s calendar.
The Ghana Music Awards, which has been running consistently for the past eleven years now, had Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” morning show host, Kwami Sefa Kayi (Chairman), as the MC for the first eight years of the event ( from 1999-2007). Dumbass:She Spends 2550 Euros On Cloths But Owes School Fees
I am always upset and disappointed when it comes to the kind of lies celebrities put in the media for their fans. Do you remember my write up when Yvonne Nelson bragged that she bought her dress for the premiere of the movie “Princess Bride” at a cost of 2550 Euros ?
Yes, I knew home girl was lying and was trying to hype her super ego by attaching some sky-scraping price to that cheap attire she wore that night. (Read that article and check the dress from here)

Flash Back: Ghollywood & Nollywood,Give Us Some Value For Our “Damn” Money
I am a big fan of both Nigeria and Ghana Movies especially the former. Lately, I have sworn off Ghanaian and Nigerian movies and this is because I am tired of the same ol’ same ol’,. I’m certain a lot of you agree with me that, it’s time for a change in the movie industry. Aren’t we tired of seeing the same actresses and actors in Ghanaian and Nigerian movies?
When was the last time you saw a Ghanaian movie that didn’t have Nadia Buari,Van Vicker, Majid Michel, Jackie Appiah, Yvvonne Nelson or Agya Koo in it. A Nigerian movie that didn’t have Ramsey Noah, Mercy Johnson, Ini Edo, Jim Ikye Genevieve Nnaji or Rita Dominic. Are those the only actresses and actors we have in Ghana and Nigeria? It’s always the same faces, almost same storylines and movie titles that have nothing to do with the storyline.
Genevieve Nnaji & Jackie Appiah: Who Is Your Pick?
These two ladies are very beautiful and well structured. They have the package, the beauty and the talent to act. I’m sure you will agree with me if you’ve seen any of their movies.
Genevieve has been in the film industry for a very long time and she is good at what she does. Guess experience has even made her better. She is one of my favorites African actresses. But lately I think there is something about her that is missing. She used to shine in very movie she featured.
However, the spark we used to see to me is disappearing slowly. Nevertheless she is still good.

After projecting chart busting song ‘Swagger’ onto the international platform when he danced to the tune as he entered the ring recently to fight Manny Pacquiao in Texas, Ghanaian boxer Joshua Clottey says he has big plans for ‘Swagger boys’ Ruff ‘N’ Smooth.
