History was made at the National Theatre last Saturday, where ‘Coz Ov Moni’, the first full pidgin musical film in the world was screened to a large  crowd.

If am not mistaken, if you think of musicians M3nsa and Wanlov the Kubolor, ‘2 Stupid Dogs’, the American animated television series comes in mind. The mannerism of those two could be said to be on the same par with the ‘Coz Ov Moni’ stars.

‘Coz Ov Moni is a musical film which features M3nsa, the composer/rapper/producer and Wanlov Da Kubolor, who is seen around wearing skirt as the main characters. The likes of Samini, Reggie Rockstone, Macho Rapper, Mokin, Panji Anoff, Mutombo and others made cameo appearance.

Jimmy Jean-Louis, the male lead in award-winning Ghanaian film maker, Leila Djansi’s upcoming movie, ‘Sinking Sands’ is to be presented with a humanitarian award. The Haitian born actor and founder of Hollywood Unites for Haiti, will receive the Humanitarian Award from Academy Award winning actor Sean Penn during International Luxury Media’s 3rd Annual Better World Awards’ (BWA) Glitter and Glam Ball. The invitation-only black-tie gala, cocktail reception and dinner will take place at The Lotus VIP Club On Le Goeland Beach during the Cannes Film Festival on May 19.

Osei Bonsu, Counsel for Ghanaian Football superstar and Chelsea midfielder, has categorically denied media reports that his client, Michael Essien, has shirked his responsibility by not supporting the father financially, stressing that his client has been playing his role as a son accordingly.

Lawyer Osei Bonsu has therefore called on Opanyin James Kwaku Asiedu (Essien’s father) to be “grateful to his son” for “his benevolence”.

A couple of weeks ago, PEACEFM had an exclusive interview with the Chelsea midfielder’s father, where he accused the son, among other things, of neglecting him and also refusing to cater for his up-keep.
