Ghanacelebrities.com: You need no introduction, but tell us something about yourself which is not already out there.
Kess: Am NANA KESSEWAH… an Ashanti …lived in Takoradi and had my second cycle education at ARCHBISHOP PORTER GIRLS’ SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL…love music and sports too… very friendly and down to earth… love fufu and light soup and anything with kontonmire…. (Guess that’s that)
GhanaCelebrities.Com: Who is Vicky Zugah? Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
Well, I’m from the Volta, born to Mr. Komla Zugah and Ms Beatrice Patu. I’ve three siblings of which I’m the third. If not on set, I watch movies and read a lot. Banku with Okro stew is my favourite.
GhanaCelebrities.Com: How did it all start for you as an actress?
It’s a gift from God. Actually, I had no intention of becoming an actress and I never knew I could act. I consistently used to receive complements from people that I ‘have the face’, I look like a ‘star material’ and stuffs like that. So I decided to give a try in ‘Trokosi’ alongside Jackie Appiah and the late Suzzy Williams. That was it, thank God for who I am now.
GhanaCelebrities.Com: What were some of the challenges you encountered whiles trying to break into the Ghanaian Movie industry?

GHanacelebrities.com: You describe yourself as the Rap Doctor, what is RAP?
Okyeame Kwame: RAP is the acronym for Rhythmic African Poetry. In simple terms, it’s poetry in motion; poetry being recited in rhythm. Another school of thought explains that rap is a clip version of rhapsody which is explained by Greek philosophers like Aristotle and Plato as appellations. In an African sense, it can be traced to court poetry. An example is the drum language (Ayan and Amoma). In short, the rapper is the chief drummer communicating over the background drum sets. Picture an ensemble of drummers at a function with a lead drummer. The lead drummer is the rapper while the background drummers are the beat used by the rapper.
She is also the CEO of Sparrow Productions and her company produced two semi finalists (unprecedented) at the Miss World beauty pageant within the past five years, after securing the rights from original franchise owners of the Miss Ghana Beauty pageant, Media Whizz Kidz.

GhanaCelebrities.com: Tell us briefly about yourself. Who is Shirley Frimpong Manso?
Shirley: Unlike the job I do I’m a very private person. I keep very few friends who I’m eternally loyal to. I don’t shy away from hard work; I play smart and capable of a lot of silly fun. I’m a disciplinarian, I don’t condone gossip and I don’t suffer fools easily. I like to learn, I’m open to sensible criticism, and I have a lot of respect for people with principles. I Love to travel, read, watch movies and always up for a good old fashion joke. I believe in positive thinking and doing good… if you think badly of people, bad things happen to you. I detest mediocrity.
Love him or hate him, Adjetey Anang is a household name. He launched himself into stardom with “Pusher,” a bad boy, arole he played in the TV hit series ‘Things We Do For Love’ and was featured in films such as the Dutch production ‘Slavery’.
His stage productions include August Wilson’s ‘Joe Turner’s Come And Gone’ and Eugene Ionesco’s ‘La Cantatrice Chauve’. Adjetey holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of Performing Arts, University of Ghana.
He is involved in youth programmes, through several TV series, focusing on reproductive health issues, parent-child relationships and peer pressure, to mention a few. Adjetey is also active in his local film industry. He is part of a production house, called Sparrow Productions, whose goal is to revive Ghana’s struggling film industry.
With 10 mix tapes to his credit, US-based Ghanaian rapper Smalls certainly is perfecting his rapping skills for a gradual emergence on the hip-hop scene. Born Joseph ‘Nakwesi’ Andoh in Worcester, MA, Smalls has been rapping since age 15 when he did his first ‘show’ at an outdoor battle of the bands showcase.
There is a trend emerging in the movie industry where producers are looking at bringing international stars into African movies so as to attain wider audience. Alexis Ntsiakoh happens to be among those who have broken through the “dual cultural” set up with the aim of bringing a masterpiece of acting into African Movies.
Ghana’s representative to Miss Universe 2008 now turned singer, Yvette Fancy is a beautiful young lady who wants to entertain audiences all over the world. She is currently working on her debut album which is set to be released in 2010.
Actors like Majid Michael, Van Vicker, Kofi Adjololo, Ekow Smith, Adjetey Anang, Chris Attoh, etc are the ones we look out for whenever one is watching Ghanaian movie but honestly, a name like Eddie Nartey surely doesn’t ring a bell in our ears not even to the layman on the street.This guy is a firm believer and has real talent.
After encountering disappointments from several auditions,he remained unperturbed and keeps on persisting because to him he believes that God has endowed him the talent to act. Grabby as he is affectionately called by his friends, was not born into family of actors, he has to start from the scratch.
