Yvonne Nelson
Yvonne Nelson

In recent past, it has become the habit of Ghanaian movie stars (Ghallygold movie star) to show their displeasure at constructive criticisms labeled against them by the general public and the media for their various acts of misconducts either in the movies they appear in, or the wild life style they exhibit in their normal life activities.

The media took it up the crusade of criticizing actors and stakeholders in the movie industry when the issue of explicit images became a major topical issue, as a new paradigm shift of marketing movies in the country.

Jackie Appiah & Nadia Buari
Jackie Appiah & Nadia Buari

It is disheartening to read that our own celebs in their little career world are “beefing” themselves.  I got to know about the tension and unpleasant relationship between Nadia and Jackie Appiah some months back but decided not to give it any audience.

However, Peacefm has brought it to light and I believe Ghanacelebrities’ readers and the fan base of both Jackie Appiah and Nadia Buari needs to know about the sour relationship between these two top actresses.

The story below says it all and as such I do not need to gist up more on that. However, there is one part of the story that I am not feeling, I mean the part which states that both actresses have not starred in a movie since 2008. Geez! That is wrong; both were in the movie “Heart Of Men” right?. Heart Of Men was a 2009 production. Okay, read below for more on the relationship gone sour between Jackie Appiah and Nadia Buari. Do you think this is happening out of competition, jealousy or…?

Pascaline Edwards Is 40 and Cruising,Girlfriend Is Looking Great & Having Fun. Doesn’t She Deserve It?

blank

I am sometimes quick to throw”bashes” at certain celebrities when they fall below the standard expected of them and reluctant to knock on others like Pascaline Edwards. This is not about being partial as you might be thinking; it is about having the outmost respect for the personality you dealing with in terms of career history and how that celeb has lived her life.

Scandals rock every celebrity but others are very good in staying away from such things. For some, it is their daily bread and will invite such scandals ranging from sex scandals to fighting. Pascaline Edwards is a talented Ghanaian actress who has come a long way as a celeb with if not any, a little mess to her name.

Love & Relationship: How Black Men See Baby Mamas

blank

I’ve spent a good majority of my adult life trying not to have a baby mama. Not because I don’t want children, I just don’t want children with a woman that’s not my wife. See, when you do the wife and kids thing, that’s generally something planned and thought out. Even if it’s not, you’re married so having kids isn’t really that big of a deal because it’s expected at some point.

A baby mama, however, is a whole other ball game. Just look at the term itself. It’s detached and impersonal. She’s not called my wife, my girlfriend, or even my lover, but my baby’s mama. That doesn’t denote a loving connection but a relationship of circumstance. Generally, this is just a woman that happened to get pregnant and if not for the child y’all probably wouldn’t have any further contact after the relationship went south. Even if y’all are together, the fact a man would refer to you as his baby mama as opposed to his wife/girl shows that there isn’t much hope for the relationship evolving beyond two people that happen to share a child.

blank
Akon vrs Samini

Well, depending on how holier you are than me, you may rather ask which of these two make the worst apology song. But the fact that these two music stars released hit songs to make a bad situation look better for them, takes tact that only a few of their contemporaries have.

When Senegalese singer Akon came under public scrutiny for dancing lewdly with an under-aged Danah Alleyne, daughter of a local pastor, at the Zen nightclub in Port of Spain he decided to do a song to apologize for his actions. “Blame It On Me” became an international hit and was put on his re-released album, ‘Konvicted’.  But had the R&B star truly regretted his actions? Check out these lyrics:
