Haitian actor, Jimmy Jean-Louis has arrived in Ghana to commence shooting for Ghanaian film maker, Leila Djansi’s psychological drama, ‘Sinking Sands’. He touched down at around 6:30pm on Saturday May 22 at the Kotoka International Airport on a KLM flight via France. He was met on arrival by director Leila Djansi.

Echo Pens Down Two Years Deal With UK Based Label ‘Leo Boy Entertainment’

Echo has officially signed on a two-year deal with a UK based label, Boy Entertainment Leo. This was celebrated with a short ceremony at the pool side of the Wangara Hotel in Labone.

As part of their prizes for winning the Nescafe African Revelation in Ghana in 2007, Echo, an Afro-pop group was mandated to be handled by the Abraham Ohene Djan’s OM Studios for two years.

Echo is a rap duo which comprises of two young guys Charles Yeboah Danso and Elijah Owusu Danso. Charles hails from the Eastern region and Elijah hails from Guan in the Volta region of Ghana.

Congrats: Kojo Antwi Nominated For BET 2010 Awards

The nominees for the 2010 BET Awards  are out and the Ghanaian music maestro is in there. Kojo Antwi has been nominated in the Best International Act category. The category also has Nigerian talents MI and P-Square as well as  South African’s HHP . This is the first time that African musicians have been nominated for the BET Awards.

Other musical artistes of African heritage nominated include Dizzee Rascal of Nigerian father and Ghanaian Mum parentage, Wale, Estelle, K’Naan and Sade who are also nominated in the Best International Act category.
