The entire “Pop Skinny beating Girlfriend” story seems to be taking a different direction.  I read the below report by NewsOne and it has Ebenezer Anangfio of GhanaCelebrities.Com’s name in there as some kind of “phone” witness so I guess he can be the best person to address this controversy.

You need to read the story to understand what is really happening. I will try to summarize it in one paragraph but I do not think that can really carry all that the story seeks to throw out.

NewsOne reported some few weeks ago that, Pop Skinny’s Girlfriend and manager “Efua Hiagbe”  came to their office to chip them a story that his Bf and client has turned her into a punching bag. After the publication of the story, Efua proceeded to TV stations and other radio stations to discredit the story and attacking NewsOne as peddling lies since she had never been to their office.

Sala is the latest addition to the Paradise Entertainment family.  The same label under the tutelage of Mr. Duke Banson houses the likes of Vision In Progress (VIP), 4X4 and Mimi. Sala was born Salamatu Yakubu.

Her first single ‘Fakye Me’ is fasting catching up with the people. She has since released the second single ‘Falling’, which is another great song with a nice video.

Over the years, we have bought and watched several Ghanaian movies. Some of us still catch our fun times with Ghanaian movies whilst others have developed thick skin to watching Ghanaian movies as a result of the sinking standards these movies come with.

If the game is not living up to expectation, then some of the players must surely be the cause and needs to be fetched out of the squad.

I have come across people in the world of blogging attributing the failure of many blogs to the ease at which a blog can be set up coupled with the no or less cost of running a blog syndrome.

Though the above are two of the numerous reasons why most blogs fail or have failed, I believe there is a common and far serious reason why most blogs are unable to survive the non money making stage to make it to the “cash in” stage.

It is always refreshing and challenging to read and learn that certain big blogs like my all time favourites “JohnChow.Com” and “ProBloggers.Net” are making more than 30 thousand US Dollars each month.

The fact that many are making it with their blogs means you can also do it. In the same light, the fact that many have failed with their blogs and cannot even make a living out of them also means you can fall into the failing ditch of blogging.

How can one get an experience if he is never given a job? Though it is difficult to entrust full responsibility into someone who has no previous directing skills, there is always a first time to take a shot at something.

Having been given the opportunity to write and direct the movie ‘Kiss Me If You Can’, it gave Kobi Rana, the chance to acquire little experience to help him with his idea of rejuvenating the Ghana Movie Industry.

‘Kiss Me If You Can’ was like a stepping stone for the young creative director and I strongly believe his latest movie ‘2BAD’ will shoot him into the limelight. I believe his success in the movie industry will hinder the progress of his musical group ‘Rana’, because the more higher he goes, the more scripts he will be bombarded with but as they say, it is always prudent not to keep all your eggs in one basket.

It may surprise some to know that a good number of movies coming to the Ghanaian movie market nowadays are directed by Nigerian movie directors. Some few months back one of the most respected Ghanaian producers openly said he prefers using Nigerian directors than the Ghanaians because, the latter are sub-standard.
