One song that is making a lot of waves recently is Rufftown’s new artist Wendy Shay’s Uber Driver. People call her the new Ebony because her style seems to mimic that of the late dancehall singer of the same record label. She has expressed her displeasure at the comparison and claims she has her own style but nonetheless, she still reminds every one of the late 90s bad girl who is the reigning artiste of the year, though demised.
A very tough feat to match, but Uber Driver is probably a good place to start. Meanwhile the Afrobeat Ghanaian singer known as Queen Haizel is not impressed, and has accused Wendy Shay is stealing her lyrics. Queen Haizel released her song title “3hy3” on 27th October 2017. Wendy Shay released Uber Driver on 1st June 2018.
