A five thousand word article to describe the achievements of Media Mogul, Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi aka Bola Ray on his 41st birthday is worth it for a man who started from the scratch–with high hopes combined with hard work, consistency and perseverance have come this far.
Bola Ray as affectionately called is the Chief Executive Officer of Excellence In Broadcasting (EIB) and Empire Group of Companies. What has brought him this far can be attributed to a host of personal character traits but one thing comes to mind–passion, the passion for radio and to achieve more.

Late1990 saw an upsurge of rap groups and duos from all over Ghana and prominent amongst them was AKYEAME, the duo from which Okyeame Quophi emerged. Given his God given creative prowess Quophi was the main composer and writer of the duo and a performer as well.
Being the indoor type naturally, Quophi picked up music production skills from studio sessions and immediately started practicing with his own home studio which helped greatly in churning out the great hits from the band. Akyeame became a household name in no time and rose to pick the first ever best Hip Life song of the year award for their never dying song ‘Mesan Aba’ at the maiden of Ghana Music Awards in 2000.
Till date the song remains one of his biggest compositions. After five albums, Quophi was left with a solo career option which he took and recorded his ever popular ‘Quophilosophy’ album which had ‘Shake Dat Thang’ and the ‘Kolo’ songs making waves in night clubs and all dance avenues in 2004.

When he was born in June 1975 at Bongo SOE near Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region, little was it known that he will be a musician.

Three clear years after birth, little King Ayisoba could still not walk. His father, Apoore Abaadongo now aged 110 years and his mother, Azumapoka also 91 year got worried at the time and tried all means including the use of traditional medicine to get him walk, but all failed.

4×4 is made up of Captain Planet and Abortion. Captain Planet’s real name is Sylvanus Dodji Jeoffrey. Abortion was christened Raphael Edem Avornyo.

The 4×4 crew was first made up of these two and Ronnie Coches and Bright Bling Sparkles, the latter two have been known as Buk Bak on the Ghana music scene. Captain Planet is known to be the first person to rap in Akuapem and he also raps in Twi, Ga, Ewe, and Pidgin English.
