When looking to describe Ankara fashion the first word that comes to mind is “bold”. The African inspired fashion prints notoriously known as Ankara can be a bit overwhelming at first glance.
However, over the last 10 years Ankara has become a seasonable fashion staple, showing up on runways and in fashion outlets year after year.
In the world of high fashion where anything goes, Ankara fits in just fine. However, for the average person finding ways to incorporate Ankara into their everyday wardrobe can be difficult.
Those who do not want to come across too “loud” but still wear this African inspired style can do so by implementing a few tried and true fashion secrets. We recommend combining an Ankara piece with professional neutrals for work—as well as introducing signature Ankara accessories into your regular outfits to give them an edgy look.

Are you trying to decide what to wear for a grand event?
Evening dresses come in all shades and styles, and the hunt for just the right one can be overwhelming. Don’t view it as a task to get you down; the search for just the right color and style can be fun!
Consider your overall coloring; get to know the colors that look good with your hair and skin tone. Not everyone can pull off the color yellow like I’ve done here—for others a very dark or light color may wash them out.
If you’ve never consciously figured out what colors work for you, dedicate a day of window shopping to settling on some overall color choices.
Spend some time trying on you. Don’t be afraid to pick up some colors that you’ve never thought you could pull of! This stage is just experimental, and you might be surprised by what you see in the mirror.
GhanaCelebrities.Com’s resident fashion contributor and fashionista-AkosuaVee is here today with a ‘swag’, fabulously rocking a thin high top sneaker.
Which type of sneakers would you prefer? Would you go in for either thin or thick?
Thin high top is something like a pair of converse sneakers; shoes made of light fabric that, when tied to the top, rest snugly against the leg.
The thing with thin high sneakers is that if tightly laced all to the top, the shoes can make your ankle look awkward and small.
Artificial fragrances, benzoic acid, hydroquinone, alpha hydroxyl acid, parabens; these are ingredients that prove that beauty today is way more expensive than we are used to imagining.
The reason we underestimate our beauty expense is that we only weigh the results that we get from our skincare routine by the mindless amount of money we invest and not by the long-term consequences on our skin that these same products do cost us. Our precious health.
These are top beauty ingredients that are included in most of the lotions and body creams that we purchase in a bid to look good in better skin. Some people go ahead to crowd their beauty stands with hundreds of beauty products (the product junkies) to which they never stick, preferring instead to go from product to product within two weeks or months and hopelessly hoping for the best with their complex skincare routine.
Unfortunately for them, that is thousands of Ghana cedis going into next-to-nothing temporary results and a lifetime’s worth of skin cancer or even graver effects like birth defects in pregnant women. Yes indeed, the kind of lotion you slather on your skin could cost an innocent child a full, normal looking body!

You can pretty much wear them in any environment. The first piece to cover is if you should wear them with socks or not.
Both can be accepted depending on the environment; wear socks if you are going to be in a formal setting especially, in a corporate world.
If you want to go casual, and not in a mood to completely dress up, yet want to stand out from the crowd, go for it with socks.

Mzbel
The truth be told; Mzbel was a walking fashion disaster—she never used to get it right.
Mostly, her cheap outfits would make her come off as trashy and uncomfortable—but she seems to have made a fashion jump this year; the improvement in these new photos can’t be missed.
Of course, she wouldn’t just leave behind that LV bag—which looks more fake than anything, messing up her obvious improvement.
For those reading this from cold countries, remember it’s damn hot in Ghana and as such the ripped jeans is a perfect pick and the yellow gives it that needed wonderful colour hotness. Flip to the next pages for more photos…
