PHOTOS + Film Directors Guild of Ghana (FDGG) Duly Inaugurated in Accra | Association to Join Forces With Government to Establish a Solid Film Industry

The Film Directors Guild of Ghana (FDGG) has officially been launched in Accra on Friday, February 27, 2015. The ceremony which was chaired by a representative of the Speaker of Parliament – Rt. Hon. Mr. Edward Doe Adjaho – seeks to bring film directors across the country under one umbrella to champion a worthy cause.

Delivering the keynote address, President of the Film Directors Guild of Ghana, Mr. Richard J. A. Boateng stressed on the need for film makers and the government of Ghana to collaborate and establish a strong film industry.

According to him, Ghana as a country does not have a film industry. He attributed this to lack of unity among film makers; therefore couldn’t join forces to champion that course. Mr. Boateng indicated that it is based on this that they (Film Directors) have established the Film Directors Guild of Ghana. As he puts it, “Ghana is ready to put structures and professional measures in place to help govern and administer the businesses of film making in this country.”

The musician was spotted last night wearing a Latex dress at Mert & Marcus House of Love party in celebration of Madonna, identical to the one Kim Kardashian was seen wearing a few hours earlier.

Finally The Corruption Code Has Been Cracked in Ghana | Northern Regional Minister Says Churches And Society Forces Government Officials To Be Corrupt

The level of corruption we as ordinary Ghanaians have to deal with it every day is astounding, and whilst we’ve all been scrambling around trying to find out how we can solve this menace- the Northern Regional Minister seems to have stumbled upon the cure to all these governmental corruption.

Churches should stop expecting Ministers to make huge donations during service, and citizens should stop pestering them for help. So simple!

According to Alhaji Mohammed Muniru, the church is the biggest cause of corruption amongst government officials. Because people expect so much from them when fundraising and other activities are ongoing; they are forced to steal so they can meet these demands.

“You tell us that if you can afford Ghc 1,000, come for this prayer… so if I’m sitting there as a minister and I cannot afford, I will be ashamed so the next time, I will do all means to get money and that is why we have officials trying to steal money because they have to be respected in the church”

Imagine collapsing on your wedding day, waking up in hospital only to be told your bride-to-be had married someone else; not just anyone but a random guest she picked out of the crowd at your own wedding!

That must really hurt.

BBC reports a groom at a wedding in Rampur town in Northern India, Jugal Kishore collapsed during his wedding ceremony, just when he was going to hang the wedding garland on his intended bride, Indira.

Apparently Jugal suffered from epilepsy, and had hidden the condition from the woman he was supposed to marry. Angry at the deception, Indira asked a member of her brother-in-law’s family, a guest at the wedding, if he wanted to step in for the groom!

KKD’s Rape Case Transferred to High Court | Trial Starts On March 18

Kwesi Kyei Darkwah’s alleged rape case has today been transferred to the High Court for trail—despite the fact that his lawyer-Anthony Forson argued that the case should be dismissed.

At the Kanieshie District Court today presided over by justice Adjoa Akyamaa, the court transferred the case to the High Court after the prosecutor read the bill of indictment.

KKD’s lawyer had wanted the case not to be transferred, rather be dismissed—arguing that the State wouldn’t be able to make a case at the High Court since the key alleged victim has already expressed her dis-interest in the case. Here, the lawyer pulled out the letter written by the alleged victim some weeks ago and read it to the judge.

When I hear people say I would rather believe in a God and His many prophets than not because if I do and later it turns out to be false, I have lost nothing—-I just laugh, because anyone who says has failed t evaluate what believe in God, prophets, religion and the concept of faith bring forth.

I am against anything that intentionally or unintentionally blocks free inquiry and religion does more than this, it invests heavily in ignorance. It “is violent, irrational, makes absurd claims which it hates to be challenged, allied to racism, tribalism, bigotry, glorifies ignorance and invests heavily in the oppression of women and continues to terrorize children”.

The truth this, it’s not just one religion that does this—all of them; mention any religion that stands against the aforementioned?

Anyway, a friend forwarded the below videos to me and to be frank, I was shocked that anyone will have such a conversation in the 21^st century—and of course it is made possible by religion. God says we should do it…

To think that women these days have somewhat become forward runners of religion, the concept of God and the believe in prophets—when they are those who suffer most under these things truly show that; religion heavily invests in ignorance and it is good at doing so.

Remember the fall that broke the internet?

Good old Robert Mugabe has this thing where he hates to admit weaknesses, thus always putting up the front that he is a strong man when his 91st birthday is just around the corner.

Since that fall, which transformed into several memes from the unforgiving internet; the government has been in overdrive spinning the incident. Information minister Jonathan Moyo told Zimbabwe’s Herald, that the ‘alleged’ fall occurred because two pieces of carpet that had not been properly laid, forming a hump.

“To be honest with you, even Jesus, let alone you, would also have tripped in that kind of situation”

Personally, I feel the guy who walked on water would have a little more poise than a nonagenarian.

Fifty one (51) year old Mzukiseni Mzazi got married to 26 year old twin sisters, Owami and Olwethu Mzazi from Vosloorus, in South Africa recently.

In an interview with South African magazine – Drum magazine, the sisters said they’ve always known they will someday marry the same man as they have shared everything else together since they were born.

“We have always done everything together. We share everything. That is how our grandmother raised us. So when we decided to marry, we said any man that wants to marry one, will marry the other” Owami told Drum magazine.

New Year, new declarations from ‘Men of God’ that we have to swallow hook, line, and sinker.

Chris Okafor is the head of Nigerian Church Liberation City. In his sermon to his congregation on Sunday, February 1, he reiterated a slew of prophecies he had made for the New Year, most of which centred on tragedy and conflict.

According to the pastor christened as ‘The Oracle of God’, a plane full of a certain political parties’ campaign team is going to crash. According to him, there is a heavy cloud that is about to rain blood before the election.

Surrounding the election, he said one party would win, but it will be rigged to usher in the other party as the winners. This would generate a lot of bloodshed; and also that a governorship candidate would not live to see the election.

As usual the caveat, that all this can be averted with the proper prayers, which ostensibly him and his church are already studiously carrying out. What you have here is a win-win situation.
