As part of the celebrations to mark International Youth Day last Wednesday, (August 12, 2015) the first gentleman of the land – President John Dramani Mahama – was interviewed on Uniiq FM.

Among the many issues that he touched on, he also talked about Ghana’s movie industry – naming his favorite actors. One prominent actor whose name was mentioned was John Dumelo.

This has not gone down well with actress Yvonne Nelson who’s name was not mentioned by the president.

According to her, the president should not have named only John Dumelo as his favorite actor, describing that as discriminatory.

In an interview on Joy TV’s ‘Let’s Talk Entertainment’ show, Yvonne said even though the president has his favorite actor, he shouldn’t have singled out John Dumelo.

Ultimate 106.9 FM Breakfast Show; Setting The Day’s Agenda For the People In Ashanti Region And Beyond

Prince Minkah-Ultimate Fm in Kumasi
Prince Minkah-Ultimate Fm in Kumasi

As a writer and radio enthusiast, I spend several hours (morning through night) listening to various radio programs; be it entertainment, politics, lifestyle, comedy, etc to keep up with the trending issues going on around the globe.

In Ghana, our airwaves in the morning is so much saturated with political programs; with most stations copying each other in terms of content, making it unexciting to listen to. There are however a few radio stations that defy the odd and go beyond the status quo.

One of such stations is Kumasi-based Ultimate 106.9 FM.

Its morning flagship program – Ultimate Breakfast Show – is one of a kind, combining current affairs, lifestyle, music, health, thoughts of concerned Ghanaians as well as non-Ghanaian residents and all interesting issues you can think of.

Unlike several radio programs, Ultimate FM’s Breakfast Show treats issues objectively; digging deep to hunt for the right answers to matters that bother Ghanaians. Correspondingly, the right resource persons are interviewed to share their thoughts on essential topics.

Remarkably, the program gives much emphasis to what concerns its cherished listeners, thereby finding the realistic solutions for them.

Ayana Evans

This is may seem desperate but she is just putting in extra effort so to find what she wants—something most women will not do, even though they may so much want that particular man they would want to call HUSBAND.

Ayana Evans, the woman above needs a husband and therefore she is not leaving it to chance—so she decided to place a sign at her back, saying, ‘I Just Came Here to Find A Husband’.

Demetria Lucas D’Oyley, in a piece for The Root, reached out to Evans, a performance artist, to find out why she wears the sign.

She explained:

“As an artist, when I have a block and I can’t think of anything to make art about, it usually means I’m not being honest about something. There have been a lot of points where I have been desperate about finding a husband, feeling anxious, wondering, “When is it going to happen? Where am I going to meet him?” I’m not proud of that, but that’s definitely how I felt. I haven’t been in a relationship in six years. I realized worrying about getting married was something I edit out a lot in work. So I was like, “All right, let’s make a piece about how I feel.”

Ray J Thinks He Has the Answer to Why Some Women Have TRUST ISSUES | Check It Out!

Ray J
Ray J

William Ray Norwood, Jr popularly known as Ray J is known for a lot—a singer, model, songwriter and others but he is famous for that infamous Kim Kardashian s*x tape.

This should obviously tell you the kind dude Ray J is and certainly, he is not the one to go for a relationship advice or the one we think would have anything pretty deep to say about Trust Issues.

However, he shared the above which points to the argument that, some women have trust issues because they are not real.

This is a weak argument but you cannot totally dismiss it on the grounds that, you will surely panic as a person if you sold oranges to someone as apples—knowing that, one day, the person would find out and then go for the real apples.

Open Gossip: Nekkid & Disgraceful Photos of the Partner of A Popular Black Star Footballer LEAKED…

Open-Gossip
Open-Gossip

GhanaCelebrities.Com is in possession of several damaging, disgraceful and pathetic n*ked photos of the partner of a popular Black Star footballer—and to be frank, she was the last we expected such leaks to come from.

Of course technology has made it easy and possible for such intimate s*xual photos to be shared today—but for such disgraceful photos of a married woman who seems to have mini problems with several others to have gotten to us, it’s certainly going to be an interesting publication.

The Black Star footballer was part of Ghana’s squad to the recent Africa Cup of Nations and even played in the final match. He is pretty a decent footballer but it seems, the wife has been playing dirty…

According to our source who gave us the photos “ this woman sent out the photos to someone else” but when we reached out to the woman,  she told us “indeed she is the one in the photos but her footballer partner is well aware of these photos because she sent them to him.”

Interestingly, the woman in question told us her phone was stolen and that’s how those photos have gotten into our possession—but we struggle to believe this at this stage.

READERS’ MAIL: Open Letter to Striking Ghanaian Doctors…I Witnessed A Young Man Die From Asthma this Morning | Why Should the Innocent Ghanaian Suffer?

Doctor in Ghana
Doctor in Ghana

Dear Ghanaian Doctors,

I understand the root cause of the indefinite strike is the long-over due salary increases and the inability of government to resolve concerns over service conditions. I comprehend your lament because the requirement in your profession is very consuming but most often we overlook the trust, faith and work output in your services.

It is quite difficult to separate fact from exaggeration during doctors’ strikes due to media hype and the politics played around it. But the fundamental question remains: Should the innocent Ghanaian suffer??

Just this morning, I witnessed a young man die from asthma because there were no doctors present at the time needed. A huge depth of grief filled my heart as the situation could have been avoided but this innocent man is long gone due to our selfish, maligned interest.

Forgive me but I am lost for words in terms of lexicon to surpass the situation and experience I had this morning. How many lives are still being played this moment due to our differential interest?
