preach-maingroup

Preachers are already doing so much starring on a reality show doesn’t seem as incongruous as it might have looked some years ago.

A new reality show to be broadcast on American network Lifetime is called ‘Preach’. And as you might guess ‘Preach’ follows women five preachers in Ohio, documenting every aspect of their lives from their work in the pulpit to their private lives.

One of the preachers involved is Dr Takesha Williams, a popular preacher and prophetess in Ohio, who is actually known as the ‘Beyonce of the Christian world’, and she’s quite proud of that moniker.

“I think that largely people relate me to the Beyonce of gospel because of the way I shake my hair. You know, I’m radical, and when Beyonce performs she just lets it loose. And that’s how I prophesy, or when I preach, or when I go forth in whatever God has called me to do: I just let it out!

Black Satellites Beat Panama To Comfortably Top World Cup Group

satceleb

Ghana’s Black Satellites reached the world cup second round with a routine 1-0 win over Panama that enabled them to top Group B with seven points after three games.

The Black Satellites were back in action in New Zealand earlier this morning with a more or less perfunctory game against Panama. Ghana’s four points prior to the game and the competition rules made it virtually impossible for Ghana to be kicked out, even with a loss.

But Sellas Tetteh, wanting to top the group, went in with a strong line-up anyway, unchanged from Tuesday’s victory over Argentina.

The game was a balanced affair, not too much exciting but both sides acquitted themselves well. The Satellites continued to show their improvement after the lethargic opening game against Austria.

The game looked destined for a stalemate with only ten minutes to go, but substitute Emmanuel Boateng had other ideas. Taking the ball on the break, he turned his opposing defender inside out, before firing a well placed shot from the edge of the box into the net.
