Ghana Black Stars Did Excellent, NO BAD TALKS…

Andre Ayew

As I watched the game between Ghana and Ivory Coast, I noticed the black stars did pretty awesome and should not be blamed for losing the cup to their opponent. Both sides were good, and they gave their all, both sides had a couple of chances which they could not convert to goals, and in the end, they had to resort to penalties to decide the winner of both sides.

However, I noticed some mistakes. I don’t know why the strikers did not play first before the defenders, and lastly, the goalkeeper, or perhaps they were all scared of the blames. Another one was when opponent managed to miss two penalties in a roll, that was the perfect timing and opportunity for the Ghana black stars to emerge winners but they followed suit and also missed two goals which got a little messy resulting in the goalkeepers having to play to decide the game.

Therefore, I do not like the fact that some people would blame the goalkeeper for the slightest mistake because he did not make any. Yes it is true that he could not make a save and missed his shot, but even the players who were supposed to score missed, so why should the goalkeeper whose job is to just catch the ball be blamed for not being able to score?

Ghanaian Managers Vs Those in Charge of Business in Developed Countries…

There are many factors that slow down the progress of the great nation Ghana, and one main factor is the attitude of managers and or supervisors at work.

This article would be much more understood by those of us who have lived both in Ghana and in at least abroad, it being America, Germany, or any of the developed countries.

In Ghana, as far as I know, most of the times, whenever someone gets to be a manager or a supervisor, then that means he is above the law and everybody. They go to work whenever they like, they get there at 12pm when the job actually opens at 7:00am and leave very early around 5pm. They sit down, relax and have fun instructing the employees and shouting on top of their voices whenever they go astray.

Ghana’s Postal Thievery & Port Scams | When Will It End?

Ghana Post
Ghana Post

As a developing country, I think Ghana should be able to do away or at least cut down on certain bad acts. Ghana is still deep in corruption.

I’ve spoken to a couple of people about sending items to Ghana through the mail system and the responses I get are all negative or 99 percent negative. I do not know if anyone can relate to when he sent something through mail to their family, girlfriend, boyfriend, or anybody at all and the items were delivered wrongly, either the mails were slightly opened or completely changed, changed as in the box or enveloped was changed completely because they could not put it back together.

I had similar experience when I was in Ghana. I would get something sent over to me from my daddy and the envelope seems slightly opened. I believe those people in charge of the delivery would be thinking, “let me check if I can get a dollar or something valuable, he thinks we are fools”. I am just hoping someone has received something faulty or heard family back home saying similar thing and can relate to this.

Because of this, many people either want to send those items themselves to Ghana or give it to a friend or relative going there to deliver it, for the fear of losing their items or only some of them getting there.

Life Is Not About What You Have But…

When you take a critical look around you, you will notice that a lot of people are expensively branded but do not have what to feed on. What I mean is that, some of us want everybody to know we got all the good clothing and shoes and all those stuffs when we cannot even afford them.

But as far as I know “Life is not about what you have but how you use what you have.” Somebody can have just three clothes, but can wear them in so many different ways and make them look so good that you might think he has many of them.

You can buy low cost clothes and wear them without anybody knowing it’s worth if you do not tell them, but that is not the case now, many of us use our hard earned money to purchase all the Guccis, the Louis Vuittons and all those expensive stuffs, forgetting it is not all about wearing the expensive ones but how we wear them.

The Ghanaian Misconception: ‘Those Living Abroad Are Living in Heaven’…You Are Mad!

Cleaning

When I sit down to ponder over certain things going on in Ghana, I then resort to the saying “experience is the best teacher”. Basically what I want to say is, until you actually get a feel of something, you never know how it is.

Ever since I was a kid and till now, some Ghanaians have this illusion and misconception that whenever a relative, friend or just anybody travels abroad especially when it is to the United States, the person is “IN HEAVEN”.

You might ask why I am saying this, well ever since I got to the United States, every time I start to chat with my friends in Ghana, about 90 percent of them would utter the words “you are chilling ooh boy” just because I told them I am in the United States.

It is true that the US is a place of opportunities but also a place to drain you, especially when you are not a citizen. What I want my beloved Ghanaians to know is that, we do not pluck money off trees wherever we go, we have to work for it, and most of the times, you work more for less.
