Evidence that Religion Makes You Dumb: About 200 Human Beings & Properties Burnt in the Accra Goil Fire & People Are Singing ‘GOD IS MIRACULOUSLY GREAT’ Because They Claim A Bible Didn’t Burn

“If you could reason with religious people, there would be no religious people.”- House M.D.

Sometimes, you can easily spot from afar why some people are religious—they hate to make good use of their heads. Of course, religion promises redemption in exchange for the surrender of a person’s thinking faculty but it took me some time to realise that this means you will have to become blind to even non-complicated issues.

It wouldn’t take a toddler more than two minutes to tear down any erected argument that a certain God is great in a circumstance where nearly 200 people have inhumanely burnt to death—simply because, people claim a book belonging to this God (Bible) did not fully burn in the same fire.

Let me make this simple, perhaps that way, you would be able to spot the sort of absurd deductions people make because of religion and a belief in a God. “I do not believe in anything resembling a God, but would never profess omniscience with regard to such issues.” One thing I know for sure though, I can smell absurdity from thousand miles away.

Following the recent Flood/Goil Fire blast that unfortunately occurred in Accra, killing men, women and children—and burning down these people together with properties, a partially half burnt book (which resembles a Bible) started circulating on facebook (see above).

To be frank,  the comments by the many religious people on this book do not only show that these people have lost touch with humanity, but also, the comments show the sort of mind-set these religious people have cultivated in their backyards, which opposes reason.

One of the many people who commented on the issue said “Wow everything in this world will cum to an end except the word of God human beings burnt but the holy BIBLE cudnt burn in the accra goil station flood and fire disaster. God’s word is always true.”

A certain-Kofi Katu Gyimah also had this to say; ” Heaven and earth will pass away, but my world will remain the same” human beings burnt to ashes and properties destroyed beyond repairs. Yet this old world of God call Bible survived the flood and fire out break in Ghana last. What a Might God we serve…”

When you think that’s how low human beings can be ridiculous with their deduction, Jeff Williams comes in with this “The bible is the most persecuted book but it could not be exterminated. The conflagration at a goal filling station in Ghana recently could not burn this Bible.About 200 people lost their life here but the bible escaped unhurt. Praise God.”

Jeff’s comment was followed by that of several others, all praising God and stating that, this alleged non-burning of the Bible in a fire that killed nearly 200 people shows that, God is great—and He is real. First of all, no one has shown that this half burnt book had anything to do with the Goil blast or was anywhere near that place, yet they all have no doubt about it…

If this is not the lowest level of absurdity, then what else can be? I have seen the Bible burnt down to ashes several times by different people; perhaps, God was sleeping or drunk then…

God is great because He watched while 200 people including children burnt down but decided to show His might and mercy by not allowing the Bible, which can be reprinted not to burn. You must have a brain full of cotton wools to reach this conclusion—pathetically, several religious people who commented on the issue shared this view, all because of the common diabolical denominator; faith.

It’s such things which obviously show in plain words how faith and religion impede reason, make people become dummies and lose the ability to critically evaluate things that compel people like myself to constant rise against this idiocy, largely perpetuated by the concept of faith (believing without evidence).

Why must any praises be sung to a God who cares more about a book than human beings in such a circumstance? And why would any reasonable person even be bold enough to find solace in the fact that the might of God was displayed in the relationship between about 200 people burning and a Bronze Age book allegedly being saved?

Even if you are that cruel, don’t you feel anything for the children who died in the fire, that your God could not save but decided to save a mere book?

But then, this goes beyond cruelty, it’s borne out of credulity—the strongest disease to have infested the brains of religious people.
