Kumawood actor, Kwaku Manu has condemned the actions of Lydia Alhassan, the incumbent member of parliament of Ayawaso West Wuguon.
Hon. Lydia and her team shared some food and snacks to voters who in queue yesterday during the special voting exercise.
According to multiple reports, the food bags were also given to some Electoral Commission officials and security guards overseeing the operation.
Lydia Alhassanโs team who were sharing the food claimed the voters were hungry. This action infuriated John Dumelo, the opposition National Democratic Congress’ parliamentary candidate for the constituency.
He condemned her actions, calling it โstupidโ. Kwaku Manu has also added his voice to the sharing of food.
According to Kwaku Manu, Lydia Alhassan sharing food at the venue of the voting centre was evident that she had no respect for the voters. He added that, giving food to the voters to influence their decision in voting for her was a dump move on her part.
