Lena Jacobi, a student at Lanesville High School in Lanesville, Indiana, has been reported dead.

Jacobi’s death was announced in a statement from school staff shared to parents. No cause of death was given.

“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the recent passing of one of our beloved students,” the statement began. “During this difficult time, our priority is to support our students as they process their feelings and find comfort in their school community.”

The Student Council also announced measures to help honor the memory of Lena Jacobi, imploring everyone to wear pink on Monday, October 28 as a way of honouring the deceased.

“Please keep her family and friends in your prayers,” the Students Council said.
