We have all come to expect nothing but utter brilliance from the young group Vibe Squad since they debuted with afrobeats singles “Whine Pon Me” and “You’re The One” in 2009. It is believed the group took some time off to concentrate on attaining their University degrees and are back to exploit their talents in the music industry after sorting out their education.
“First things first, we are fully aware time waits for no man and therefore decided to prioritise our education, but the most important thing is, we’re back now! ” said DeeVS (formerly Opemfour), a member of the group.
Vibe Squad is releasing their latest single DANCE WITH ME with a video by the end of the month. The song features UK’s sensational funky artist TRIBAL MAN who has already made waves on the afrobeats scene after working on hit tracks “Fire” and “Coh Fom” with Ruff & Smooth and Tiffany respectively.
Wizzy explained the decision to work with Tribal Man on this single as an attempt to stabilise afrobeats in the diaspora especially the UK. ‘Since we are based in London it was only right that we create solidarity by working with one of the most successful Ghanaian UK artist around. We are like brothers now and when we elevate, we do it together’.
