Ghanaian musician and traditional leader Sparqlyn has added some new accolades to his ever-growing list of achievements after sweeping three major awards at the 2025 Stars Awards presentation held on Sunday, July 13 at Lapaz, Accra.

Sparqlyn, born Ahmmed Kanneh Larweh, who also serves as the Development Chief in Krobo Odumase traditional area under the stool name Nene Kanneh Larweh I (Noryam Matse), was celebrated for his remarkable impact in music and community leadership.

At the 5th edition of the Stars Awards, an event that has, in times past, honoured iconic figures such as Ghanaian musician Edem and the legendary Ghanaian-Nigerian actor France Emmanuel, Sparqlyn walked away with three significant honours.

He was awarded for his Contribution To Ghana and African Music & Culture, African Artiste of the Decade, and finally Youth Development Honour, under his chieftaincy title.

The stunning crystal plaques, captured in exclusive images, symbolize his outstanding influence not only in music but also in empowering youth and promoting cultural heritage.

In addition to the plaques, each award came with a detailed citation personally signed by Joshua S. Donkor, founder of the Stars Awards, acknowledging Sparqlyn’s consistency and inspirational leadership.

Speaking after receiving the honours, Sparqlyn expressed heartfelt gratitude to his fans, traditional leaders, and the entire Ghanaian music fraternity for their continuous support.

His triple win only goes to cement his place as one of Ghana’s most influential creative and cultural icons currently.

It should also be noted that earlier this year, Sparqlyn also clinched two other major awards. In March 2025, the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) honoured him during the Akwaaba Festival with an award for his Outstanding Contribution to the Ghana Music Industry and a Youth Empowerment Award for his mentorship and social impact.

In June 2025, he was also crowned African Best Ghanaian Musician of the Year at the African Performance Leadership Awards (APLA) ceremony in Lagos.
