Controversial Kumawood actor turned media personality, Big Akwes has said that Kumasi smells.
The actor who performs almost all his activities in Kumasi compared Kumasi to a public toilet, stating that the capital town of the Ashanti Region smells badly.
Speaking in a recent interview monitored by Ghanacelebrities.com, Big Akwes said that the people living in Kumasi are not noticing the smell because just like a public toilet, the people who live around do not notice the smell.
“Kumasi smells. The truth is that Kumasi is like a public toilet, the people living around do not notice the smell. It is only the people coming from afar who notice the smell of the toilet. Kumasi smells badly”.
The controversial actor shared his recent visit to Kumasi as he used it to buttress his assertion that Kumasi smells badly.
According to Big Akwes, even though he stays in Accra and hardly travels to Kumasi, he decided to travel to Kumasi for reasons best known to him, adding that he noticed the smell after he had reached Tech, one of the towns in Kumasi.

“The last time I traveled to Kumasi. When I got to Ejisu, heading to Tech, I noticed the smell”, Big Akwes shared.
The actor shared that Kumasi is how it is today mostly because of the market women, who dump refuse anywhere they feel like.
Big Akwes claims more often than not, anytime a market woman in Kumasi wants to dump refuse, they dump it anywhere they feel like, without putting into consideration the consequences that come with it.
“The reason is that the market women in Kumasi, if someone has a store, after they are done cooking, they put the leftovers including other rubbish in a polythene bag and dump it anywhere they feel like”, he said.
