Veteran Ghanaian musician who is widely known for his Christmas song dubbed “Bronya” has sent a message to his loved ones.
The veteran musician has on countless platforms stated that the late “Fatia Fata Nkrumah” hitmaker, Dada KD was financially handicapped.
Being close to the late musician, Kaakyire claims the musician was so broke that sometimes he depended on alms for survival but kept it from people because even if he did, he wouldn’t have gotten any support from anyone.

However, Kaakyire Kwame Appiah said that during the one week celebration of the late musician, people traveled from afar just to display their affluence, adding that the display of affluence at funerals of poor people is generic in the Ghanaian society.
Speaking during Cape Coast-based Property FM, the veteran musician urged all his fans not to wait for him to die before they show him love.
Kaakyire noted that a person who is going through a lot of financial challenges would call a family member for support but wouldn’t get it, however, when the person dies, the same family member who gave excuses would show up to display their affluence and affection.
According to the musician, people are going through a lot of financial issues so, close associates should help them while they are alive.
“All that I’m saying is that as humans, we need help whilst we are still alive, and so don’t wait for me to die before you come and show off at my funeral. As we speak right now, if you call your siblings or your friends that you need GHc1,000 urgently to do something, I’m sure they will give you a lot of excuses”.
“Don’t wait till I’m no more living before you come and make huge donations at my funeral ceremony, so now that I’m alive, give the money you’ll donate at my funeral to me right now. I can use my funeral donations to do a lot of things right now that I’m alive so the bottom line is that if we can help ourselves in any way, let’s do it because we don’t last long on this earth,” Kaakyire Kwame Appiah added.
