You’re Irrelevant and Upset that Tiktokers Have Taken All Your Clout – Efia Odo Takes Mona Gucci to the Cleaners

Actress Andrea Owusu, real name Efia Odo, slammed media personality Monalisa Abigail Semeha, popularly known as Mona Gucci, over her recent attack on TikTokers.

Mona Gucci, during a recent episode of her show ‘Bribi Gyegye Wo’ on Onua TV, took several TikTokers to task over their description of themselves as stars.

The Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) red carpet this year was saturated with numerous TikTok stars, which sparked a debate following the event.

Ghanaians debated over the quality of the red carpet, which was described as losing its appeal with each subsequent edition.

Fashion icon, Nana Akua Addo, snubbed the TGMA to attend an event in Nigeria, which was described as lending credence to the perception that the TGMA had fallen in status.

In reaction to the claims, TikTokker Almed said they are the new stars in town and people should get used to it. He said people should stop blaming them for turning up to the event when other invited celebrities declined to attend.

In reaction, Mona Gucci angrily fired Almed on her show, describing him as a nobody. She said TikTokers in general are not celebrities and they should stop considering themselves as such.

That also sparked a response from Efia Odo, who slammed Gucci for being too negative. She said the Onua TV host was envious of TikTok stars who are now more relevant than she is.

“You talk about them because they’re important. Why are you so negative about everything?” Efia Odo slammed Mona Gucci. “We’re talking about people who were ordinary people just a year ago, and by the grace of God and TikTok, are now popular and making money, and you’re complaining that who are they? If they were nobodies, you wouldn’t talk about them.”

Odo added that the reason for Mona Gucci’s bile is the fact that those TikTok stars are now more relevant in Ghana than she is.
