Joyce Blessing noted that she had not planned for the TGMA, so, if she were to go there immediately after her show in Kumasi, her appearance could have become a topic of online discussion.

“I could not attend because I was making money somewhere, I was playing a show in Kumasi. Also, I did not have any classy attire for the event. If you look at how people appeared on the red carpet, I would have become a laughing stock”, she said.

When asked if she had a nomination, Joyce Blessing stated that she did not get a nomination, adding that she personally did not file for the nomination.

She noted that the time they were to submit the nomination, she and the one who was to make the submission had travel abroad.

“I did not submit. The time they were doing the submission I was not around so it escaped me. The one who was in charge of submitting had also traveled so we were unable to. The time we wanted to submit, it was too late. We wanted to submit Overdo. But the next one, we will submit correct”, she said

Meanwhile, Joyce Blessing revealed that if she had been nominated and the award was accompanied by some money, she would have stopped the show in Kumasi to attend.

“If I was to win the award and given some money in addition, I would have stopped the show in Kumasi to attend”, she added.
