Controversial Ghanaian preacher, Evangelist Mama Patricia aka Nana Agradaa, took to social media to jubilate following news that Sammy Gyamfi would face no sanctions from his dollar-flaunting scandal.
Taking to her social media handles, Agradaa shared a video of herself happily dancing and singing to the glory of God for the outcome of the saga, which erupted after Gyamfi was spotted in a video gifting her dollar bills.
Holding a bottle of champagne and bathing herself in white powder, Agradaa expressed joy and gratitude to God for the outcome of the scandal, which had threatened the position of Gyamfi, the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Gold Board (Goldbod).
“God of Thunder, God of Thunder,” Agradaa happily said, expressing gratitude to God and President John Dramani Mahama for his decision not to punish Gyamfi. “Our haters have been disgraced. God has spoken. God bless John Mahama and give him long life.”
Agradaa’s jubilant video was released after the Minister for Government Communications and Member of Parliament (MP) for Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese, Felix Kwakye-Ofosu, announced that the government would take no further action against Gyamfi regarding the dollar-flaunting scandal.
Speaking in a press conference organised on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, Kwakye-Ofosu said President John Dramani Mahama has decided that Sammy Gyamfi’s public apology, which he issued in the aftermath of the incident, and a caution he received from the Chief of Staff to conduct himself more properly in his dealings going forwards, have been deemed enough to close the matter.

“The Presidency does not believe any further actions ought to be taken beyond the apology and the caution,” the Minister said.
The scandal involving the gifted NDC communicator erupted after he was spotted in a video gifting several hundred-dollar bills to the controversial Nana Agradaa after a chance encounter between the two.
Following a video of the moment surfacing online, Gyamfi was heavily criticised for flaunting wealth and for gifting Agradaa, a former fetish priestess and accused fraudster, money, while numerous party footsoldiers who fought for their election remain uncompensated.
The backlash from all angles led to calls for Gyamfi to be fired from his position, forcing the Goldbod CEO to issue an apology for his actions.
Nana Agradaa, meanwhile, baulked at the controversy and offered to return the money to Gyamfi if that would stop people from calling for his head.
