Videos showing the vitriolic attacks popular slay queen, Deborah Seyram Adablah, launched on a judge, leading to her imprisonment, have surfaced on social media.
The videos show Adablah at a salon, braiding her hair while she records the attack on a judge.
Adablah, a former National Service Personell who started a relationship with a top official at the bank she was working at known as Ernest Kwasi Nimako, famously sued him for failing to honour the promises he made towards her including purchasing her a car, renting her an apartment and giving her a monthly stipend of Ghc 3,000.
The two had a ‘spat’ in their relationship at the time, and she made headlines after becoming the first slay queen to sue her sugar daddy, seeking to compel a court to enforce ‘bedroom promises’.
Adablah lost her case and her sugar daddy secured a judgement to retrieve a vehicle he had given her to be using at the time. Adablah failed to return the vehicle and it was forcefully retrieved from her.
As she challenged the manner in which the car was taken from her, she was unhappy with the progress of the case and started ranting towards the judges in her cases.
What Deborah Adablah said for her to be jailed
In the videos, Adablah is heard ranting against the judges, threatening them spiritually and attacking them for their performance, which she deemed to be lacklustre.
“This judge is saying that they needed seven days for the judgement to be effective…you a judge you are saying that what they did was wrong but you are not going to set aside the application…because you’re not going to allow them to bring the car back, you are joking. Are you not working under the law?” Adablah said.
“This is where it becomes very critical,” she continues in another part of the video. “Initially, we said we were going to allow you people who are sitting there to do what you want to do. Always remember, karma is real.”
Adablah also made some threats, saying people believe juju doesn’t work in the judicial system but once you have offended someone, they can take you to juju and it would work. She later ranted that judges are being paid with her money taxed from her sanitary pads so they cannot treat her anyhow and go scot-free!
These rants were played in open court and led to a High Court judge summoning Adablah to appear before the court to explain herself. She refused the summons, leading to a bench warrant to be issued for her arrest and subsequently, a sentence of 45 days in jail for contempt of court to be pronounced on her.
