Popular Ghanaian slay queen Deborah Seyram Adablah has reacted after she was jailed for 45 days for contempt of court.
In a video shared on her social media handles, Adablah is seen reacting to the judgment, which is expected to lead to her spending the next month and a half behind bars.
The beleaguered ‘sidechick’ was interacting with her fans, who expressed shock and sadness over news of her incarceration.
She finally explained what led to her conviction, revealing she had a row with the judge in her case, who accused her of insults.
Adablah put on a brave face in relation to being jailed, telling fans she will be back in no time.
“45 days dier, I’ll surely be back. Let me see what they want to do, and I’ll keep you guys posted till I reach my confinement,” Adablah told her fans.
Seyram also made arrangements for her time away, calling people to watch her apartment and a pet, a dog, who she was leaving behind.
Despite her impending incarceration, Adablah remained her typical defiant herself, sharing another video looking unbothered.
Contempt
Seyram Adablah was found guilty of contempt in relation to two videos she shared on social media criticising the trial judge in her case against her former sugar daddy, Ernest Kwasi Nimako.
Adablah reportedly ‘insulted’ the judiciary in the videos and was summoned by the court to explain herself yet refused to turn up.
In return, a bench warrant was issued for her arrest for contempt of court.
On Tuesday, May 6th, the High Court sentenced Adablah to 45 days in prison.
Following news of a bench warrant being issued for her arrest, Adablah took to social media to react, indicating she will turn herself in.
She warned the Ghana Police Service not to attempt to forcibly arrest her because she doesn’t want to have any issues with them.
