Dancehall king, Shatta Wale, has issued a formal apology to his former manager, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson aka Bullgod, after alleging the Bullhaus CEO was involved in the death of late Ghanaian music executive, Fennec Okyere.
In a statement released on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, and signed by Wale under his legal name, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr, the dancehall superstar unreservedly apologised to Bulldog for his unsavoury allegations.
Wale noted that on November 2, 2023, he made allegations against Bullgod on his socials, claiming that he had knowledge of the murder of Okyere, the former manager of hiplife superstar Kwaw Kese.
Shatta Wale, who was engaged in a bitter feud with his ex-manager at the time, plainly insinuated that Bulldog was involved in the murder of Fennec, who was killed in a home invasion on March 13, 2014. The murder was never solved, but Bulldog, who was a suspect, was eventually cleared by authorities.
Wale claimed in his 2023 post that Bulldog informed him about his involvement in the murder and pledged to reveal more information to authorities that will implicate the Bullhaus CEO. An angry Bulldog sued Shatta Wale for defamation.
Following a settlement, he issued an apology, writing, “I wish to retract each of the statements in the said series of publications, as I did not mean to say that Mr. Hanson had a hand in the murder of Fennec Okyere. I also wish to apologise to Mr. Hanson and all the persons whom my publications of the November, 2, 2022, have caused pain, agony, anguish, shame, ridicule, or hatred,”
Wale-Bulldog feud
Former associates and best pals, Shatta Wale and Bulldog, kicked off another leg of their long-running feud in the latter parts of 2022 when Bulldog ‘leaked’ what he claimed was the tracklist of Wale’s then-upcoming album, Gift of God.
An infuriated Wale took to Facebook to hit back at Bullgod by releasing a ‘secret’ of his.
Wale alleged that Bulldog’s secret was that he admitted to having a hand in the killing of Okyere.
““Bull Dog, since you are bringing out secrets, you will tell Ghanaians what happen to Fenicks (sic) Murder!! And I am not joking about this time!! I am ready to tell the court about what you told me about you and your men and how planned that foolish act, get ready,” he wrote.
