President Mahama Has Failed as a President- Chairman Wontumi

The Ashanti Regional chairman on the ticket of the NPP, Bernard Antwi Bosiako, popularly known on screen as Chairman Wontumi has ignited a firestorm of controversy online.

The controversial and loudmouth politician was among the numerous NPP bigwigs that toured the country to thank the voters for their votes under their “Thank You tour”.

After touring the other regions, the NPP slated April 29 to meet with the NPP delegates in Kumasi, the capital town of the Ashanti Region.

Speaking during the Kumasi edition of the “Thank You” tour, the Ashanti Regional chairman did not spare the First Gentleman of the country, President John Dramani Mahama.

Chairman Wontumi subtly stated that the president, even though assumed office not long ago, had failed the good people of Ghana.

According to Chairman Wontumi, before the election, the president made numerous promises to the people of Ghana, however, after assuming office, the hardship in Ghana has escalated to an extremely worrisome level.

Chairman Wontumi named numerous promises the president made before the last general election, stating that “President Mahama when he was in opposition talked a lot. He said that when he comes, he will ensure the price of cocoa increases to 6k Cedis. When he came, has he been able to do it?”

Chairman Wontumi added that the president made a promise that when he assumes office, he would ensure “Dumsor” becomes a thing of the past, however, it is still in existence.

“He said when he comes, the light that Napo and the NPP made stable, he will make it stable forever. Today, aren’t we seeing Dumsor?”

As if that was not enough, Chairman Wontumi dragged the president to end Free SHS after promising to make it better for the everyday Ghanaian.

“Didn’t he say that when assumed office he will continue the FREE SHS? But hasn’t he ended the FREE education?”.
