Shatta Wale’s Beyonce Collaboration was Originally Meant for Stonebwoy But… – Ayisha Modi Spills More Beans

Naa Adokailey Wopekuku, the Ghanaian social media personality known as Ayisha ‘ShelovesStonebwoy’ Modi, claims the ‘Already‘ collaboration between Beyonce and Shatta Wale was originally meant for Stonebwoy but ended up with Wale due to Stonebwoy’s ungratefulness.

Modi, speaking in one of dozens of videos floating around social media showing her attacking Stonebwoy in the past couple of weeks, claims the legendary collaboration, which saw the self-proclaimed Ghanaian ‘dancehall king’ Shatta Wale appear on Beyonce’s album, was never meant for Wale at all.

Modi, a long-time associate of Stonebwoy until their recent falling out, alleges the collaboration was meant for the ‘Everlasting’ hitmaker. However, she asserts that the producer who had the plug to choose a Ghanaian dancehall artist was miffed with Stonebwoy due to his supposed ‘ungratefulness’, making him decide on Shatta Wale instead.

“Beyonce’s contract was meant for Stonebwoy. The collaboration with Shatta Wale was originally meant for Stonebwoy. The gig was meant for Stonebwoy, however, Stonebwoy was once ungrateful to the person who got the gig from Beyonce’s team, so the person gave the gig to Shatta Wale,” Modi claimed in the video.

“Ingratitude is destroying the industry,” Modi continued. “For instance, I don’t want to help any underground artist. I used to post Stonebwoy over 100 times a day, promoting him.”

Ayisha Modi and Stonebwoy, after years of working side-by-side, are currently undergoing a spectacular falling out. Modi, in a series of videos, has attacked Stonebwoy for being ungrateful to her despite all the sacrifices she’s made for him throughout the years.

An angry Ayisha Modi has made a series of ‘reveals’ about Stonebwoy since the feud started, including claims that he never thanked Asamoah Gyan for close to a decade for funding his knee surgery, that he once bolted from a show in the United States after seeing the underwhelming crowd, and that he beat up Sarkodie’s manager, Angeltown, out of pure jealousy and rage over being told Shatta Wale would perform before he does. Stonebwoy, in return, has remained mum on Modi’s attacks.

Already collaboration

‘Dancehall king’ Shatta Wale had the biggest moment of his career in 2019 when he featured on track 19 of Beyonce’s album, The Lion King: The Gift – which was the soundtrack to the 2019 Disney remake of the classic, The Lion King.

Wale, alongside Major Lazer, joined Beyoncé to record the track titled ‘ Already’. The milestone cemented Shatta Wale‘s status as Ghana’s number one dancehall star, gaining him a major accomplishment his main rival, Stonebwoy, could not match.
