Sleeping With Too Many Men ‘Degrades’ A Woman – KiDi

Ghanaian music superstar Dennis Nana Dwamena, popularly known as KiDi, has sparked online conversations after revealing his type of woman.

KiDi, speaking during a recent episode of the Rants, Bants, and Confessions podcast, said he believes a woman sleeping with a man ‘degrades’ a certain part of her soul.

The musician made his comments while answering the question of whether body count – i.e., the number of people someone has slept with – matters in choosing your partner.

According to KiDi, body count matters a lot to him because he believes whenever a woman goes to bed with a man, they are emotionally invested in that man. KiDi said that if that happens and the relationship does not work out, the woman loses a part of her soul to that man.

He added that a woman who has repeated that process about 50 times will have very little left of her soul when he comes across her; that is why he believes body count matters.

KiDi said he would prefer a woman who has not gone through all that trauma rather than one who has.

“This is my truth; you do not have to agree with me… I do not want a woman who has given her body and soul out to too many people, because when I’m meeting you, I’m meeting a very degraded version of yourself,” the singer said.

Host Efia Odo interjected, asking how a woman sleeping with a man ‘degrades’ her. He replied: “Men and women operate differently… for a lot of women, they give themselves to men based on some kind of emotional connection. So it means, if you’ve given yourself to 50 men, it means by the time I get there, you’ve given yourself emotionally to 50 men.”

KiDi added that another reason body count matters is that he loves to feel proud about the woman he is with and will hate for them to be publicly displaying their love at a place where multiple men have slept with his partner.

“If you’re somebody I’m going to be calling mine. If you’re somebody I’m going to be taking home to Mama. If you’re somebody I’m going to be walking out with and holding hands with, proudly. It’s my truth. It [body count] matters,” he added.
