UEW Student Commits Suicide After Walking In On Girlfriend Cheating

A Level 100 student at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) popularly known as Khon Void, reportedly committed suicide after he caught his girlfriend in the act of cheating.

Reports say the student was found dead after hanging himself. Videos shared online showed police at the school’s campus following the tragedy, which has gone viral on social media and shone a spotlight on the school.

According to a student publication, which shared details of the incident online, the victim – a Level 100 Art Education student affiliated with GUSSS Hall One – walked in on his girlfriend engaged in s*xual activities with another guy in GUSSSS Hall Two.

He reportedly fainted on the spot, was revived by people around, and returned to his hostel. He was later found dead.

A Ghanaian YouTuber alleged that the deceased texted his brother about his plans to take his own life. His brother made efforts to contact other people around to get to his brother, but none made it in time.
