The traditional wedding of Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla, was held on Thursday, April 17th, 2025, in Lagos, Nigeria.
Priscilla and Tanzanian singer Juma Jux are getting married in a beautiful Yoruba ceremony that has left Nigerians captivated and mesmerised.
Numerous Nigerian celebrities attended the event, complementing the friends and family of the duo to create a charged atmosphere. Celebrities spotted at the event include Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz, influencer and Priscilla Ojo’s long-time best friend Enioluwa; Mercy Aigbe’s daughter, Michelle Aigbe; actress Toyin Abraham; influencer Papaya Ex; and more.
Videos from the day showed a beautiful and classy ceremony. Iyabo Ojo had an important duty – praying for the success of her daughter’s marriage. A video of her prayer sparked warm reactions on social media.
Iyabo Ojo spoke to Bella Naija Weddings about her shock that her daughter was settling down. According to her, whenever she spoke to Priscy about getting married, she would push it far into the future. Therefore, finding out she already met a man and was ready to settle down left her shocked.
“Every time I said you have to get married when you’re 23, 24, she’s like ‘no, when I’m 27’. When she finally said ‘he’s the one’, I was like ah!” said Iyabo Ojo.
She also praised her new son-in-law, Juma Jux, for being an amazing person. Ojo praised him for being ‘intentional’ about taking care of his family, which she sees as a good trait.
“The way he loves his mom, his sister, his brother, his friends…like any man who is intentional about people and mostly his family, his mother, trust me, he’s a good man,” she said.
Priscilla Ojo and her new husband, Juma Jux, met in Rwanda during a business trip. According to her, they dated for less than a year and already knew they were perfect for each other and finally, tied the knot.
White Wedding
The couple’s white wedding came off on Saturday, April 19, 2025, in another classy and elegant ceremony which captured all imagination. Photos and videos from the day showed Priscilla wowing in a beautiful white gown designed by the popular Veekee James.
Her husband, Juma, was seen in a dapper white tuxedo to match his new wife. The duo exchanged their vows in an emotional ceremony that left all in attendance in awe.
