Popular Ghanaian restaurateur and owner of East Legon’s ‘Chez Amis’ establishment, Belinda, has outdoored a new car purchase, a Rolls Royce Cullinan.
Belinda showed off her new purchase in a series of videos shared to social media. The sequential series of videos shows the arrival of the car in Ghana after being shipped from abroad and culminates in the restaurateur taking ownership of her new vehicle.
Big Chezzy, as she’s popularly known, is seen showing off the pretty new vehicle. Videos show her singing and dancing happily as she takes ownership of the new vehicle and shows off its awesome features.
The purchase makes the East Legon ‘big girl’ the first female Rolls Royce owner in the country, according to reports. The extravagant purchase is ahead of her birthday celebrations, according to bloggers familiar with her plans.
Social media went wild over the possibility of an Achieke seller purchasing a $450,000 Rolls Royce from her business, triggering humorous reactions.
“I know a certain woman for maamobi she do acheke business since 2001 she no buy bicycle sef .. hmm” @mufasa_numbanine said in an Instagram comment.
Dancehall king, Shatta Wale was also dragged into the mix, with users praising Chez Amis’ Rolls Royce for looking brand new, in contrast to Shatta Wale’s own Cullinan, which he purchased months back.
“This is way nicer than Wale’s third hand RR,” said IG user i_am_majeston.
The dancehall superstar took ownership of a Rolls Royce in February in a similar rollout to Big Chezzy’s. Videos shared at the time showed the car’s arrival at the port before Wale was later spotted taking ownership and showing it off.
Private jet
Several days after taking delivery of her new car, Big Chezzy revealed in an interview that her next target purchase will be a private jet, to follow in the footsteps of businessman Richard Nii Armah Quaye.
According to her, she plans to purchase a jet and customise it with the words ‘Chezzy.’
