Republic, Honeysuckle, Mangos? – Global Superstar Moliy Reveals Best Places to Visit in Ghana



Ghanaian-American global superstar Moliy placed a massive spotlight on Ghana in a new interview as she highlighted all the best places for travellers to visit when in the country.

Moliy, in a new interview, was asked to name her best places to visit in Ghana in various categories.

A video of the interview was shared on social media and was widely praised for putting ‘Ghana on the map’.

Moliy named Osu the best neighbourhood in Accra for having the best food and clubbing spots, as well as bars. She later named Republic, in Osu, as the best bar in Ghana. Moliy dubbed Honeysuckle the best restaurant in Ghana, describing it as a ‘London-style pub’ and praising them for their wings. The ‘Shake it to the Max’ hitmaker named Mangos in East Legon as the best place for local Ghanaian food, of which she dubbed ‘Fufu’ the king of.

Moliy shouted out several Ghanaian artists for their great work promoting Ghanaian art, including Lali x Lola, Anabel Rose, and Kojo Black.

Over the past few months, Moliy has become a global superstar with the unexpected success of her song, ‘Shake it to the Max,’ which has risen to viral status due to its popularity on social media platforms such as TikTok. The song, featuring Jamaica’s Silent Addy, has garnered over 12 million views on YouTube and millions more across all streaming platforms.

Born Moliy Ama Montgomery in October 2001, the singer rose to prominence after featuring on another Ghanaian-American superstar, Amaarae’s monster hit, Sad Gurlz Luv Money. She recently performed during Vybz Kartel’s U.S. shows at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, cementing her status as one of the top stars of the moment.
