Entertainment pundit Arnold Asamoah Baidoo has declared Shatta Wale the biggest dancehall artist in Ghana, arguing no one even comes close to him.
Baidoo, speaking on the Entertainment Review show on Peace FM, endorsed Shatta Wale’s claim of being Ghana’s ‘dancehall king’, revealing that, in his opinion, Wale is inarguably the biggest dancehall star in the country.
Arnold said, looking at the influence, dominance, and following that Shatta Wale boasts of, it is very clear to him that Wale has no rivals.
The Entertainment Review panel discussed Shatta Wale’s ability to always top the trends following his recent link-up with Nigerian content creator Peller.
Arnold, speaking on if Shatta Wale is the biggest artist around, said the question is not even worth debating.

“Right now, I’ll give it to Shatta Wale in terms of dominance and influence. Let’s not drag this issue, seriously, he has it. There’s no need arguing over this,” Asamoah Baidoo said on the show. “When it comes to who has the bigger dominance, who has the bigger influence, who has the following, who turns conversations? Someone (Richard Quaye) had his party and was dominating the trends and Wale has now taken over with Peller.”
Arnold praised Shatta Wale for having the unique ability to get the entire country talking about him, noting that it is the secret to Wale’s long-term success in the industry.
Shatta Wale over the years has proven to be arguably the most talked-about artist in the country, fuelled by his ability to stoke controversy at the drop of a hat. The ‘Already’ hitmaker, born Charles Nii Armah Mensah, has for over a decade been locked in a constant battle with his largest rival, Livingstone Etse Satekla, aka Stonebwoy, over who is the biggest dancehall artist from Ghana.
