Actress Nana Ama McBrown and her ex-husband appeared together at a funeral on Saturday, April 12, 2025, sparking jubilations among fans still hoping their marriage is on track.
The actress, real name Felicity Ama Agyemang, and Maxwell Mawushi Mensah, her former husband and father of her only biological daughter, Maxine, sat side by side at the funeral of a friend they both attended.
Video taken from the funeral grounds showed Nana Ama seated, looking lively and in a good mood. Maxwell sat by her, his patented look of nonchalance glued onto his face.
McBrown, a little sweaty, was spotted cleaning her face with Bel tissues, a brand for which she’s not so coincidentally an ambassador.
Maxwell and McBrown seated side-by-side shocked many following reports of their divorce, which neither side has outrightly confirmed.

Actress and media personality McBrown and businessman Mensah tied the knot in November 2016, welcoming their first and only child together, a daughter, in February 2019. McBrown has openly spoken about the difficulties she went through in conceiving and delivering a child.
Their union, which seemed unbreakable, started having cracks in August 2023, when rumours emerged of Maxwell having a relationship with a lady known as Serwaa Prikels, whose own baby daddy left her after a long relationship to marry someone else. In explaining his choice of dumping Prikels, the gentleman, known as Ridwan, explosively claimed that Serwaa cheated on him with Mr Mensah.
The next few months saw a PR campaign from McBrown to keep her marriage alive, but eventually, the duo appeared to confirm their divorce when they unfollowed each other and deleted photos of the other from their social media. Maxwell was also spotted on ‘outings’ with Serwaa Prikels.
Their mutual attendance at a funeral has sparked some excitement amongst fans of their marriage for a reunion, but neither party has so far indicated any such reunion is on the cards.
