Actress Victoria Anastasi, known for appearances in several movies and television shows including as the star of the faith-based movie Restoration and cameo appearances in Veep and House of Cards, has died.
Anastasi died over the weekend of January 10-12, 2025, long-time friend Alexis Miller revealed in a post shared on social media. According to her family, Victoria died of a hereditary family disease, Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD).
Victoria Anastasi starred as Samantha Collins in the faith-based movie Restoration, shot in Fayeteville and released in 2018. Anastasi’s Sam wsa a feisty high school kid who needed a private coach to prepare for her high school wrestling competition and that happened to be just the thing CK Erwin (Ken Stewart), a man who lost his family and will to live, needed to get his mojo back.
The movie, directed by Jeremiah McLamb, received mixed reviews from critics but scored well with audiences. It also received six award nominations and won four, including the Inspired Faith Award at the Inspired Faith Film Festival, the Best Family Film at the Cape Fear Independent Film Festival and the Best Feature Film at the Christian Film Festival – Menchville Baptist Church, according to IMDB.

Anastasi, who was born in La Plata, Maryland, lived and worked out of Atlanta Georgia. She began dreaming of acting at eight years old when she found out she was related to Katherine Hepburn. “From that moment on I declared that I would grow up to be an actress,” she said in her bio on her official website.
Victoria attended La Plata High School, where she enrolled in theatre and showed of her talent every chance she got. After graduating high school, she began pursuing acting, and moved from Maryland to North Carolina after graduating college to pursue her career She later moved to Atlanta GA, where she remained till her death.
Aside from acting, Victoia put her love for art into other endeavors, also working as a stylist and a painter.
Friends remembered Victoria for her kindness and sweetness.
“You were the kindest, goofiest, sweetest, brightest light. I will always miss sharing coffee with you in the mornings, your laugh, the adventures we’d take,” Jamie Burroughs shared in a post on Facebook.
