Celinda Levno, American Airlines Flight Attendant Murdered in Denver Stabbing

An American airlines flight attendant with close to 40 years of experience, Celinda Anne Levno, has died following a tragic stabbing incident in Denver, Colorado.

Levno, of Phoenix AZ, was in Denver during a layover when she ended up being the tragic victim in a brazen murder.

A series of stabbings occurred in Denver the night of Saturday, January 11, 2025. One woman was killed and two men were left with non-life-threatening injuries in the random, bizarre stabbings that occurred at the 16th Street Mall.

Denver Police Department Officers were called to a stabbing incident on 16th Street and Tremont around 5:12 p.m. on Saturday. Officers found one stabbing victim and transported her to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries on Sunday morning.

Two others stabbings occurred on 16th Street and California, and 16th Street and Lawrence Street. Both were male victims and both survived with non-life threatening injuries.

The first stabbing victim, the female who was later declared deceased, was identified by the Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA) as veteran American Airlines flight attendant, Celinda Anne Levno, in a statement confirming her passing. Levno started her career with America West in 1989.

“With great sadness, we inform you of the passing of Phoenix-based Flight Attendant Celinda Levno while on layover in Denver. Celinda began her career with America West in 1989,” the statement began.

It added that Levno was known for her love of horses. The APFA expressed solidarity with the Phoenix Inflight team over this tragedy affecting team and added that the remaining staff will be temporarily relocated to a hotel near the Denver Airport, despite the fact the stabbing did not occur at the layover hotel.

“She was truly the most incredible and kind woman out there,” Josephine Dale, Levno’s horse trainer, told 12 News. “Everything she did was for everyone else. A true animal lover, and a phenomenal musician,”

Dale said details on a service for Levno would be shared in due time. In the meantime, “Please respect her husband and sister’s space,” Dale warned.
