US-based Ghanaian TikTok content creator, Young Don, known for his outspoken and often controversial comments about Ghanaian leaders and public figures, is reportedly facing deportation from the United States.
According to reports circulating on TikTok, the influencer is currently being held in a US detention centre. Young Don, who relocated to the US in search of greener pastures, gained notoriety for his online videos, which often targeted prominent Ghanaian figures, including chiefs and media personalities.
Trying to imitate Twene Jonas, another controversial social media commentator, Young Don repeatedly criticised Ghanaian leadership and governance in his videos.
One of his most controversial moments involved alleged unpleasant remarks about the Dormahene and other notable figures in Ghana’s media space.
Despite his social media fame, critics argue that Young Don neglected the reasons for his relocation to the US and instead chose to focus on creating content that incited controversy.
The exact reasons behind his detention and potential deportation remain unclear. However, speculation suggests that his legal status in the US might have come under scrutiny.
