President John Dramani Mahama has assured Ghanaians that despite the evil intentions of the outgoing NPP government, dumsor will not be making a return.
Mahama, speaking during his inaugural Presidential dinner function, said the NDC has innovative and smart thinkers who ar hard at work to ensure the right thing is done to keep the lights on.
His comments come after former deputy minister of power and Member of Parliament for Yapei-Kusawgu constituency, John Jinapor, revealed that the NPP left power with only five hours of fuel reserves and that dumsor is just around the corner.
The NPP denied these claims and said the NDC are now in power so it is their responsibility to ensure the lights remain on.
It was later announced that the Ghana Gas company also has some planned maintenance which would affect the delivery of gas to power generators.
Despite all these challenges, Mahama said they are hard to work to solve the issue. He said the NPP attempted to sabotage their government but their plan will not work.
