The Canton Academy of Mississippi and the family of preacher John Branning have announced the death of son and student, John Branning.
Branning passed away early on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025. He was 13. No cause of death has been disclosed.
“Our CA family comes together with heavy hearts at this time as we grieve the loss of beloved 8th grader and dedicated Canton Academy Panther, Jasper Branning,” Canton Academy said in a statement. “Please join us in keeping the Branning family in our thoughts and prayers along with Jasper’s classmates, friends, teachers and coaches.”
Branning, who was in the 8th grade, played football for Canton Academy alongside his 12th grade brother, Aidan. Funeral arrangements will be announced once finalized.
