A West Greenwich, RI pregnant woman who was found killed in her 15 Cheyenne trail home alongside her two kids by her husband, who also took his life, has been identified as escrow officer, Danielle Lynne Arruda.
West Greenwich officers were called to the address for a welfare check at around 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 3. One of the occupants of 15 Cheyenne trail had not reported to work for days necessitating the call for a welfare check.
Upon arrival, officers were met with ‘suspicious circumstances’ and forced entry into the home. They were met with a gruesome scene of four dead bodies, all suffering from gunshot wounds.
Along with the Rhode Island State Police, the West Greenwich Police are investigating the apparent murder-suicide. Richard Ramsay, the West Greenwich Chief of Police, declined to name the victims out of respect to the families.

Local reports in West Greenwich identified the occupant of 15 Cheyenne Trail as Danielle Arruda (née Lynne). Arruda was married to Nicholas ‘Nick’ Arruda with two kids, aged five and two. She was also pregnant and due anytime soon.
According to these reports, Danielle and her two kids as well as her unborn were all killed by her husband Nick Arruda, who allegedly shot them to death. He then shot himself as well. It is currently unclear exactly when the dastardly crime took place, as Danielle had been absent from work for a while before the welfare check was requested. Some reports said she had missed as many as 10 days, indicating the incident could have happened anytime within said time period. Subsequent reports point to a shorter time frame. Not much can be confirmed until authorities release more details.
Danielle Arruda was a paralegal working with the Marinosci Law Group in West Greenwich, Rhode Island. She was an escrow closing officer for real estate deals and had worked with the firm for close to two years, having taken the position in March 2023.

Arruda was also the escrow closer for Liberty Title & Escrow Co. in Warwick, working from September 2016 to present. Previous positions included working as the closing officer for Embrace Home Loans in Newport RI and as a Pharmacy Technician for CVS Caremark. Details of Danielle Arruda’s education were not immediately available.
