In a heart-wrenching interview on Adom FM, Florence Debrah, the grieving widow of Chief Inspector Godwin Beniba, has broken her silence about the tragic death of her husband on their wedding day.

The unexpected loss of Chief Inspector Beniba, who served as the Station Officer at the Anamase Police Station in the Eastern Region, has left many in shock and deep sorrow.

The tragic incident occurred on December 27, 2024, at the Anamase Hotel in Akyem Anamase, near Oda, where the wedding ceremony was scheduled to take place.

Florence, unable to contain her tears during the interview, recounted the harrowing experience of discovering her husband’s passing. She revealed that her family initially tried to shield her from the devastating news, but the truth eventually came out, leaving her utterly broken.

“We’ve been together for three years. We finally decided to settle down, and now this has happened. I was in the room dressing when my mother came in to tell me that my husband was sick and had been rushed to the hospital. I was shocked and confused; I didn’t even know what to do” Florence said tearfully.

She further disclosed that the night before the wedding, she and her husband had spoken, and everything seemed perfectly fine. We were so happy and ready to take the next step in our lives together,” Florence recalled.

The sudden passing of Chief Inspector Beniba has left not only Florence but also his family, friends, and colleagues in deep grief.
