Lawson Blevins, a 17-year-old student of West Craven High School in Vanceboro, NC, has died following a crash in New Bern.

Blevins’ death was announced by a friend of the family on social media post shared Sunday, December 29th.

“Prayers are needed for the family of Lawson Blevins, he had a car wreck and passed away. He was only 17 years old and was very loved by his family,” wrote Kathy Martin White of Eden NC. ” Please God be with his family, his mother Jamie, his grandmother, Brenda, and his aunt Amy God, please wrap them in your loving arms and comfort them and their time of need,”

The West Craven High School FFA also wrote a touching tribute to their colleague over his tragic death. Describing their immense sadness at Blevins’ passing, the group extended all deepest regards and condolences to his family and friends.
