A GoFundMe fundraiser setup in her honor reveals Morgan, a hair stylist, and her husband Sam were expecting their first kids after getting married in April.

Morgan Hughes delivered twins, Hudson and Georgia on December 19th, but complications from the birth left her hospitalized whilst the kids were placed in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). On the afternoon of Saturday, December 28th, Morgan sadly passed.

Sarah Thorne, also of Salem, organized the GoFundMe to help out Sam and the twins. “Morgan was young, only 22. She just graduated hair school, while pregnant, and was starting her career. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, and friend,” the fundraiser said. “She leaves behind her adoring husband, Sam Hughes (23), their darling babies, Hudson and Georgia (1 week old), along with both sets of parents and their siblings,”

The fundraiser, with a goal of $80,000, already raised about $70.338 at the time of publication. Morgan’s story has touched hearts with many expressing condolences on her passing.

“We can’t even begin to imagine your loss. We’re praying for you and your sweet babies,” read one comment on GoFundMe.
